Two major types of lung cancers are-
Small cell lung cancer: A fast-growing type of lung cancer commonly caused by smoking. This aggressive variant most commonly occurs in smokers and starts in the breathing tubes called Bronchi and has a very quick growth, eventually creating large tumors and spreading throughout the body.
Non- small cell lung cancer: It is referred to as a group of cancer that behaves similarly, such as squamous cell carcinoma. Its symptoms include a cough that won’t go away, shortness of breath, weight loss, or coughing up blood.
General causes of lung cancer include smoking, passive smoking, exposure to certain toxins, and family history.
Symptoms include a cough often accompanied by blood, chest pain, wheezing, and weight loss. These symptoms usually don’t appear until the cancer is advanced.
Treatments vary, but it may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and so on.
