Gynecological maignancy

Cancer is always named for the part of the body where it starts. Gynecologic cancer is any cancer that starts in a woman’s reproductive organs. This type of cancer begins in different places within a woman’s pelvis, which is the area below the stomach and in between the hip bones.

The most common gynecologic cancer is uterine cancer and the least common is vaginal cancer. The five main types of gynecologic cancer are:

Cervical
Ovarian
Uterine
Vaginal
Vulvar
(The sixth type is the very rare fallopian tube cancer)

Symptoms generally include-

Pelvic pain or pressure
Itching or burning of the vulva
Changes in the color of the vulva or skin (rash, sores or ulcers)
Increased urination, constipation or diarrhea
Abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge.

It’s important that we keep these symptoms in check because they have high chances of being shrugged off or being unnoticed.
